Favourite shopping bag

Following on from PWs lovely thread about his fave shopping bag, I wondered what is everyones favourite shopping bag/utensil?
Mine is a super basket, bought by Dexters Aunty Margaret for me 3 years ago in Ludlow as an early birthday present.
I use it virtually every day - if not at work, to take my lunch in, I also use it when we visit friends for dinner, its really useful to hold jars of chutney/bottles of oil etc. (sarzwiz can confirm!)
I'm very attached to my basket, despite the fact that (some) people (who dont know me) say, "the last time I saw a basket was at school for cookery". Well, yes, I did have one at school, but I really like mine.
So whats your fave shopping bag?

A blue cloth one that my daughter made for me years ago - it has a zip pocket on the front to keep stuff like keys in and is a good size and very strong. It's known at the local shop as my Granny Bag.

My first cotton co-op bag, it gets used nearly every day for almost everything. It stays in my main bag as it rolls up nice and small.

this is really handy for the shops (I've got a bigger basket on the back) and I always carry a couple of rolled up cotton bags in my pockets.

I use a large basket that I can either carry over my arm or by the handle, bought it when we first arrived here on St Cyprien market. My standby bag, which is always in the bottom of the basket, is a cotton bag I bought at the Albert Hall in London when I was at Jackson Browne's ?1993 Looking East tour and the handles/straps are so big I can get my arm right through them and onto my shoulder.

Mines a cotton bag bought from Oxfam a few years ago. Then last week I bought one of those shopping trolleys on wheels for a �5 thought it would be handy when I go for bread flour, the bags 3.5kg so I can't carry much else at the same time unless I want arms like a gorilla.

I have assorted bags purchased from supermarkets as an alternative to plastic carriers (which I still get occasionally, but I do have re-use applications for them). There is the blue canvas one, not very big but with a rigid base (well it folds in half, but each half is rigid). There are the cotton ones from the co-op, and the new black 'made from recycled materials' one I got last week, but my favourite is a large bag (17litre capacity it said on the label) which folds up like a pac-a-mac and zips inside its own 'pouch' (which becomes a pocket when the bag is in use). I have 2 of those, one yellow one pink.

I have one of those trolley bags, old, tatty, but great when I want to buy heavy stuff (like veg when there is none in the garden) and NOT take the car!
There is a steep hill between here and the shops/market (shops at the bottom) so walking to the shops is fine, but coming home with anything heavy is torture!

I don't have one, but I'm on the look out for a basket. Hoping the local agricultural show will have the 'basket lady' there again, though a trug I bought from her is so lovely I find I don't want to use it for soil covered veg

I wonder if we bought them from the same shop? If I remember correctly, it was at the end of the main street on the left hand side, with baskets and things outside, before the hardware/ironmongers shop. I LOVE Ludlow - its a fab place, especially if you are into good food.

Vintage Basket...

...I bought a vintage basket from the local car boot sale, and then made a reversible lining for it. I use it constantly.

I like the cotton shoppers, but I love making them rather than shopping with them. This is the one I made for my Mum a few birthdays ago with a Fox Terrier on it, and the one I made for DD for her Easter.

Re-Stocking...

....I've got to go and have a dig about in the attic sometime soon as I need to make some more lined baskets for my craft stall, and the baskets are up there.

Bought some lovely fabrics from Australia & US with chooks on, so thought I would use those given my obsession with chickens at present.

I don't have a shopping bag as such - when we go shopping we take several re-usable bags in the back of the car.

I do however take a bag with me if we are out for the day/on holiday etc.

It's an over the shoulder bag that I bought at an airport in Germany when coming back from a meeting finding myself with several things to carry, and nowhere to keep them - holding/storing them whilst on the plane was going to be an usse.

Just a canvas bag manufactured by a famous sportswear company famous for their three stripes, with a zip pocket inside and a couple of velcro (other brands of hook/loop fasteners are available) pockets on the front.
