Cheddar and Coleslaw - fab in a sandwich but even better on toast (just don't put the coleslaw on until its out from under the grill!!)

I really like egg mayo - and that was before we got our own chucky eggs. However, I still like a tomato sandwich with black pepper. It needs to be a good tasty tom though. Brandywine's a good'un, and with luck you only need a slice or two!

Cheese, onion and coleslaw on granary bread.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

Egg Mayo with Marmite....delicious but smells awful. Someone next to us at a picnic on saturday went a bit green when my mum opened the sandwich box. She always packs up egg and marmite sandwiches for us if we go out for the day. I remember being kicked off the bus on a school trip once because my teacher couldnt stand the smell of my sarnies.
I also love cheese, may and spring onion sandwiches...yummmm

Its interesting that so many replies include eggs and bacon!!?!

I would be with coomber as that kirkham sounds yummy and is close to my fav of cheddar cheese and beetroot on brown seeded bread.

Ok second post as others are doing more than one.

Crab & lettuce with cocktail sauce - open sarnie

Welsh Rabbit (my style) Toast one side of bread turn over lay ham on top then in a bowl throw in some chopped onions, grated cheese, a half teaspoon of Dijon and mix with an egg, spread mix over ham and grill until browned - yummy

                      Salad cream sarnies

                      Chip butties

Grated Cheese, chopped tomato & chopped spring onion mixed in mayo, in a crispy baguette

An option I remember with pleasure (used to be on offer at a cafe/pub we sometimes visited, more years ago than I plan to admit) was a 'triple decker brunch', with HOT filling
lower layer, bacon and tomato, upper layer, fried egg and mushroom.

My son has recently started to eat peanut butter and chicken. Says he got the idea when eating in a supposedly exclusive place and the chicken was cooked using peanut butter. Not sure if he's making that bit up, but it looks...well... if he was a daughter I'd have..um.. suspicions.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
