It's very kind of you to say that It's just that having worked in the computer industry for the past 30 years I know from bitter exeprience that if you rely on technology too much and don't take regular backups of your important data, sooner or later you're going to get bitten in the @rse (* HotStuff gets down off his soapbox).

I know phone numbers of some people I phone often, others... not. Basically if I got told the number since I had this phone, that is the only place I've got the number, otherwise, it is stored in the one place I can't leave behind......

My phone very rarely fails to be well charged. I tend to notice before it gets low. I am more likely to simply forget to take it with me!

Since I work with OH, it is vanishingly rare for me to have a problem about telling him about when I will be home, and none of the rest is critical.

My phone numbers are also stored on a key-ring gadget sold for the purpose, but the inability to download numbers off the PHONE (as opposed to SIM) has twice become frustrating when the phone stopped working and some important ones were stored there. Now the only ones stored on the phone's memory are the ones I can remember anyway.
