I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Thought I would update if anyone is interested...a few pics attached...home made Strawberry Planter and a raised bed which was my project for the day...both these cost me nothing...good eh..!..anyway, any suggestions to what I should put in the raised bed..?..hoping to build another one tomorrow. LOL...I believe its an old cattle feeding basket, not really sure...used a grinder to cut bigger holes in the mesh...got 30 plants to go in tomorrow...hoping for nice weather tomorrow again.Originally posted by BumbleB View PostYour plot looks great, lots of space to plant up loads!!

Just thought I would give you all an update...a few pics I have just taken...the planter now has 30 strawbs in, courtesy of freecycle. Lovely.....
....your soil looks great. We've solid clay here, with next to no top soil. We went for raised beds as OH is disabled and I'm not allowed to do any heavy lifting.
I'm looking forward to being able to use our own chook poo-based compost to rejuvenated the compost in the beds next spring!
