What have you done today?

drove to work, worrying because it was soooo windy, that I'd not secured the cloches over the salad/beet/spring onion bed - def a temptation for any one my cats to use as their litter tray!! Tried to concentrate on work, worried about cloches! Drove home at speed to find cloches had not moved an inch (phew!) - still put some slates on them when I got home, just to be safe!

Being the last day of my weeks leave, I was going to be really virtuous and do alsorts of stuff in the house (that I was going to do while I was off) but got up and thought better of it. Did a bit of ironing. (only a bit, mind) then went off to the library and had a leisurely browse, got six brilliant books, came home and mooched around. Collected up all the pots and trays that have blown round the garden thanks to it blowing a hoolie out there* today. I pinched that expression * from one of Flummery's posts today cos I love it Hope You don't mind, Flummery, but I will use it every chance I get now!!! Cheers, Spiderling.

Took pickle to school, cleaned kitchen, hung out washing, went to pick up some freecycled demijohns, fed chooks and collected eggs (which were given to man who gave me demijohns), tidied front room, got washing in as it started to rain, did some shopping with OH, played silly buggers with dogs, made dinner and a chocolate cake, and am now fiddling about with bits of paper trying to make an 'order of ceremony' type thingy for my wedding. Quiet day really, most excitement was had choosing my new iron which I get to buy tomorrow!!

So far I have woken up with my back still sore (massage tomorrow) followed by making a cuppa and enjoying the sunshine for a bit. Put washing out to dry with my OH and then ate an apple for breakie. Now I'm orgainsing publicity posters for a show and replying to emails. Gotta call vet as my ickle doggie has a poorly ear
Gardening wise-I have seedlings! They started to appear yesterday-very excited!
