My luxury

I have just been to hairdressers for my usual six-weekly trim and next week I am back for my 8-weekly 'hide the grey stuff'.

I spend �65 on a cut and �100 on 'hide the grey stuff'. I know it's a fair amount of dosh, but the feel-good factor is worth it (for me) - even tho I never look like I have spent that amount of dosh on me barnet.

What luxury would be your last to go in times of financial leaness?

I asked my hairdresser (trim and hide the grey - �55), if the recession had hit. She said they were as busy as always, then said that she would live on beans on toast for a week rather than not get her roots done (in her case it's hide the dark brown).

I think having the windows cleaned would be a hard one to give up - I can never do it as well as the window cleaner does, and we have a lot of glass.

Ooooh dunno really!! Why shouldn't you treat yourself with your hair Piskie? Everyone works hard for their money and should spend as they wish. Going away for a think and will come back later....

Mine would be the occasional G&T. I have a hair trim from a peri hairdresser once every 5 weeks - �10 - but she's a friend and comes for lumch too. I keep the grey. I've bl**dy well earned it!

The car is the only luxury we have now - can't get rid or Madmax wouldn't be able to get to work

I don't think i spend that amount on my hair per YEAR! I get it cut every 6 months or so and the hairdresser last month did say that it was in lovely condition, so I'm not changing owt!

don't think i've spent that much in my lifetime lol ..... my luxury hmmm i guess the t'interweb, i'd be lost without it, and i'm deffo not giving up choccie or tea ... they always the last things to go

The last luxury to go would have to be our mead. Buy it mail order by the case from Newquay Honey Farm in Wales (about �100.00 a case). Whenever we are in the area we always call in to stock up on vital supplies. Will be over that way at Easter so will be able to replenish our dwindling stock.

My last hair cut was �22, no point spending any more cause I've got hair like a bog brush (a clean bog brush!) I don't know if I have any luxuries - maybe spending on some of the specials in the GYO mag?
