Snow hadn't melted since yesterday, snowed overnight. Went out to clean off car about 7.00 to try and get to school, then it came down again, just as heavy. When i got back in head had called to say school shut!!
It has been snowing on and off all morning, beautiful large fluffy cotton wool type flakes, stopped at the moment.
Sky still looks full though.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
Well, our snow has gone today, but we did wake up to about 4" of it yesterday morning, which was a real surprise and delighted the children no end! This is a picture of the view from across the road from our house, and will be of particular interest to allotmentlady - hopefully it won't look like this when she comes on holiday to this village in May!
Oh thanks for the piccie, doesnt it look beautiful, lets hope we have no snow in may!! Lol, looking forward to it
It is melting now, heard a loud crash and it was an avalanche off the roof! Good job the postie wasn't underneath it at the time!!,or me and mine for that matter. lol

No more snow last night, but boy did it freeze. The 6 inches of slush has frozen into rock hard lumps and bumps and the whole town's like an ice rink! Nice sunny day, but the snow hasn't all gone yet - still enough for a snow man on my lawn!
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!

You are not that far away from me and we live near the moors yet we have hardly had any and it melted very quickly
Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache
No snow here and the local forecast pages say it is around 6 degrees - blowed if I believe that. Sat in the house with the heating on and a fleece and my woolly hat!!! At least I can feel my hands again now.
We have snow here. It snowed all morning and then we had showers of sleet. Its brightened up a little but no thaw so will expect the roads to like glass tomorrow.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
This morning was the start of the big thaw. We had beautiful sunshine this morning. This afternoon we have had rain, sleet and now snow again.
The weather forecast for us is dreadful for Monday. Freezing temperatures overnight followed by rain, snow and blizzards by rush hour. Most of the roads are clear so hope it doesn't settle. Yesterday cleared paths and drive, 2 to 3 inches of ice beneath the snow. God I ache today. Hope schools reopen tomorrow, kids have had three days off this week. If it doesn't settle they may open and send kids home early with a bit of luck.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.
