weve got lots of snow was sent home from school today im praying that were closed tomorow

Snow.......

Woke up to about 5 inch of snow and it got worse throughout the day, i watched as the traffic came to a standstill around work for several hours.

Had bad dumping of snow about 2 till 3pm.. then work closed and sent us all home... i drove home in 2nd gear I kid you not...!! took 40mins.

Really glad to be home, boyfriend also home safe, cats in safe... very large bar of chocolate consumed.

Apparently more snow tonight !!!! Derbyshire supposed to be hardest hit.

They are the house opposite to me, dad and young lad doing them as i arrived home from work. He saw me taking the photo from his window so I waved..he waved back... 1st contact i have ever had with them since they moved in.

Yes it is sad, people dont communicate as much as they should, you could always pop over there and say Hi! Watch how happy they will feel. Tell them i love their snowmen!

By the time my little boy got home from school most of it had gone. he was sad. Although He did think it wasgoing to be christmas again as he is convinced this is when it's meant to snow lol.

No snow in Stratford, two inches deep in Rugby! Looks lovely, 'son of mine' hoping school will be shut tomorrow!
Kids loved the fact it had snowed today they were as high as kites!

We have had more snow not much but enough to make it difficult to get on to the main road, We live about 2 mins walk from the town and no doubt it is clear but OH works a fair distance away approx half an hour or just over by car not sure yet if he will make it. Cant see if the school is open yet again for us about 5 min walk. but for teachers obviously further.

I really don't want it though. Mr T is away and I have no idea how to put on the snowchains.

Yay, we've got some at last ! Not much, but enough to close school, so I have 3 mobile snowpersons outsie now, happily chucking snowballs and making a snowman. Am so happy for them, as they do miss having snow. Can't see it lasting that long though, so off to get out in now, bye.

I have had so much trouble trying to find out if daughters school was open or not. Finally got through on a different phone number and the person was hoping it was cos she was there lol. Daughter gone to school its not far and the main roads are clear, just our side roads that have a bit of snow and a lot of ice.

Yay - we got snow!! Not a lot but enough to make the garden pretty. Younger son has no school - not sure why though as the roads are all clear.
