Mower service? help please

I have a very swanky vitor 550 mulcher pro mower which seems to be running fast all the time it usually speeds up when I get to long thick grass. Anyone have any ideas wether I should get a service �80 or should I just take it in with the fault? Would a fault like this be picked up on a service, any help would be appreciated.

I've heard of the Victa 550........is that it? If it is, I would just take it and explain the problem to the service agent and they should be able to sort it out.
As far as I know a service is just a new plug and an oil change and possibly a blade grind or new blade if needed.
Depends how old it is, condition, your mechanical aptitude and how much cash you have spare really!
