Don't mention sofas! Rude word in this house! I just took delivery of a sofa bed - 2 seater - for the spare room. The men reckoned they couldn't get it up there because it's so heavy(!) and because there are two upright rails beside the stairs which they reckon need to be removed first (I'd agree on that). However, I range Mr F at work - he's in a glum mood because of afore-said cold - he's threatening to send it back if it won't go up the stairs. I'm determined it will! Son-in-law will be called on to help and if I have to I'll grease the sides!

Flum that reminds me of when my son and his girlfriend moved into a flat at the begining of this year, they bought a second hand suite from a shop across the road from them, so on the day they moved in son and his brother go and fetch it and carry it across the road into the lift and into the flat, chairs no problem sofa stuck wedged wont go into the front room, sons girlfriend cuts open the material at the bottom to see if it will come apart, nope. Her mum went over to the shop and found a smaller suite so they asked if they could change it. Girlfriend rushed out to B&Q to get a staple gun and weed control fabric ( similar to what she took off ) to cover the underside again. It was panic stations to get it done before the shop shut.

Is it like the advert on the telly where the kids bring flowers and mum sneezes, so they bring choclates and end up sharing, so dad gets the duvet and they all snuggle up under it watching the telly. !!!! I think the ad is for fabric softner or washing powder.

when it gets a bit chilly i'll make some proper hot chocolate for you all, with a pinch of chillie, topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with cinnamon, but don't spill any on the sofa.
