A bit slow here too - and now I know it isn't my old computer that is causing the problem

I volunteer to shovel some coal for a wee while each day to keep up a good head of steam if required.

Could it be set up so that new members have to just compose a small email reply saying why they want to join the forum? That might trip up most non-gardeners, or at least slow new members down a bit?

Mine kept timing out earlier which was very annoying but seems OK at the moment. Don't usually have any problems unlike some people so didn't really think much of it.

it is glue-like here still, I thought it was my up-grade causing it at my end - but nope - it is you GYO!

Please sort it soonest, I tried to get in and take part four times today, each time giving up - no great loss cos I spout tripe but it could result in good contributors walking.

Like Bride, I too deal with forums, so I know it is a housekeeping task and I know you mostly like do not have the time - but it seriously needs tackling soonest.

I'm more annoyed about the fact that the view first unread feature seems to have stopped working on mine, I always use it rather than scrolling to find where I got to last time and it's doing my head in.

My 'view first unread' doesn't work properly anyway it just takes me to wherever it wants - very helpful
