Hi Shirl, looks like the day for peeps to return. I've not been able to get online since Sept as some thieving barsteward decided to help themselves to my laptop by breaking through my french doors into the dining room while we were out. The bloody dog was in the kitchen and must have been barking like mad, but our neighbours didn't hear anything.
Glad to hear you were insured for yours......... unlike me

The two lappys were on the dining table and landed on the floor -while backing up info. We have an open-plan downstairs and though Madmax and I were not in the room (I was in the garden as Madmax is the pooter guru - Madmax had popped to visit the small room) the pooters were indeed being backed up as a regular precaution. Madmax heard a loud bang after the sounds of boys mucking about, came downstairs and found laptops on the floor. We are both pretty cheesed as my old Dell was darned good, Madmax has had a real struggle to find a a replacement for his Sony Vaio PCG505 which was tiny and powerful (he did a lot of travelling and has got used to a lightweight pooter)

Funny really, we admonish our users for not making back ups but I'm the worst one for it myself.

About a year ago the PC went pop and I ended up spending hours trying to recover data to the new PC, in fact I only remembered the other day, there was data I still haven't recovered.

Have I made any back ups from the new pooter?
