What is it about gardeners and parents of dubious heritage?

My Dad was put into a Dr Barnardo's home at the age of 4 (his Father was a Malaysian sailor who his mother met and ???)
Anyway, at the age of 75 he has just found out all about his Mother (sadly, dead) and I have found out that I have loads of Aunties and uncles after all.

              Well, in that case...
My Grandad was a Malaysian Prince and he came over on his own private yacht and not, as we had thought, on a merchant ship

LOL thats about as 'dubious' as an ancestor can get really.

I always imagine that my dads surname cames from either Cardinal Richeliue or lord rich who was a nasty piece of work on Henry VIII 's behalf.

                Gotta love tha bad ones

The bad ones are definitely the best - we've had our goodies as well; bishops - cardinals etc [or are they the really bad ones?...]

LOL depends, Bishop of bath and wells was a complete nasty, most cardinals in history had mistresses all over the place, not even popes were saintly, consider the Borgias
