so cute, just gotta be 'let it live' please!

wire mesh round the bulbs, try chilli powder on the ground above bulbs!

I say leave him unless it's a last option. Have you tried burying some chicken netting over your bulbs? I saw wossname on Gardeners World doing that a couple of weeks ago. Digging bulbs up is a nuisance but not an offence to warrant extermination.

Plant some balloon "water bombs" around your bulbs. That'll scare him off (please have your camera ready so we can see the results)

Yep, heard this a couple of weeks ago. My OH found one in the foxtrap belonging to his old man and took great joy in breaking the law. I think he stuck two fingers up at parliament at the same time.

I voted leave him be, too. Cute little fella!

I love squirrels - red or grey & would rather lose a few bulbs than the squirrel. I've just been watching a fat little grey with a lovely white tummy doing acrobatics in the tree trying to get nuts out of the bird feeder. We had one a few years ago who liked to swap bulbs between our garden & next door's, you never knew what was going to come up!

Squirrels most definitely do not share territory well. They make an awful racket having squabbles over the best branch/tree/girly squirrel! They always charge across the path in front of my pony, fur flying everywhere! Bless em!

I like to watch the one in my garden. Makes a lot less mess than the cats!

Now I'm sure I had a lovely recipe here somewhere from HFW, for Squirrel stew.

                                Every little helps.
