as usual, the BBC is freaking useless:
overall Friday forecast: heavy rain. Click on detailed 24hr forecast: light rain.

Widdling down here in East Yorks too. On Wednesday we were almost home when we passed a roundabout covered in what looked like snow. It was a massive downpour of hail. Cars were parked up and people taking photos! We just got there after it was finished (thanks goodness.)

Soggy Surrey. Yep, that's where I am. When poo picking at the field, yesterday, the ground was squelchy on the side of the hill! Tonight I'm going the whole hog and taking arm-bands. Gagghh!!

p.s Leaf blowers. God, what a waste of time, energy and electricity/fuel!!!!

I am shattered this week between the toddler waking most nights, my early evening Wednesday spoiled by pipe joints pulled apart on the kitchen sink (backboard moved and split the joint - luckily I DID spot it and fix it before doing the washing up), and last night, I didn't go home on the bus from a retirement do, but went on to the pub with a large bunch I hadn't seen in a while so was a lot later than usual bedtime getting home.

But it is really really really chucking it down this morning. Wednesday and yesterday there were fierce showers pelting down periodically, but then it would stop. Today, it is just really heavy, constant, wetting rain that looks set to last all day.

And I have to bring the toddler to see her new creche this afternoon - where I can't park all that close. Oh joys......(at least I am not like OH - driving from Dublin to Waterford, and home again tonight).

It's rained constantly all day here! I want to pick my damsons to make wine but don't want my hair to go mad (which it will, as anyone with curly hair will know). No wind, not cold, just sheets of rain. Will plan nice Autumny-feely dinner instead I guess.
                              I don't roll on Shabbos
