Pay of all the family mortgages (it's a big family !) then buy a 200 acre farm, fill it with poultry, pigs, fruit and veg, and open a farm shop.

Damn this thread!!! It made me dream last night that we'd won 90,000 on the lottery (five numbers or something I think). It was dead realistic, I was urging DH to 'stay calm' as I checked how much we'd won. It was very exciting. Happily we were planning on doing nice surprises for family and stuff. But no, it was just a dream... they'll have to find their own house deposits for a bit longer!

Depends how much? If a lot then

            I'd retire.
Have someone come in to clean and cook.
Have my shoes hand made so they fit and are comfortable.
Have my clothes made so they fit and are comfortable
Use some of the money to help local charities

Carry your bags missy? Always wanted to go to Rio at carnival time and I don't stand a chance of winning the lottery 'specially as I don't do it.

I would like enough to :-
                  Pay off the mortgage
Build an extention - bigger kitchen, utilitie room
                  Loft conversion
                  Onsuite bathroom
                  Re-decorate
And someone to landscape my 1/4 acre garden.
I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Ooh, definitely give up work, (that would be just enough for me) and then depending on how much of a win.........

Buy a mobile home and travel the UK visiting everywhere we've always wanted to go and finding the perfect area for us to live in!

Buy a plot of land and build our own dream eco house!

Set up our own large organic veg patch and keep chucks, pigs, goats, a housecow and some sheep, with the aim being to go totally self sufficient!

Have enough time to indulge our hobbies and spend lots of quality time together!

Treat Mr D to the Landrover he wants, plus a MINI Clubman!

Help out our family and close friends financially.

Have time to go and learn things that we want to do, possibly do a degree.

Possibly write a book or three!

Have time to practice Yoga daily and get myself fully fit!
                    Blessings

When I win the lottery tonight I'm going to buy a smallholding and keep lots and lots of ex-battery chickens and some llamas. The smallholding will produce enough food for me and my family and stock a Farm Shop with a Cottage Tea Room at the side. I'll bake lovely cakes and pastries to sell in the shop and tea room. Other local farmers will raise lovely organic beef, pork and lamb for me to sell in the shop. The sun will shine every day and only rain at night and all slugs, snails and other nasties will be too scared to come anywhere near my paradise.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing - sod it, that's the alarm going off, time to wake up now

I'm watching it now... maybe this is a good sign .

                        I would:
tell OH he could give up work
                        pay off the mortgage
convert the loft of our bungalow and renovate downstairs
pay off my parents' mortgage and pay for their extension
buy my older brother a house
pay for my younger brother's wedding and buy them a house
treat my bestest friends to an all expenses paid holiday

                        I've won millions right?!

World peace will only be acheived when the money is taken away from everyone.

Now with my own lottery win I would -
1 - Clear my debts and morgage
2- Invest the rest to give a secure income for the rest of my life.
3- buy a farm of land and put a top class dairy herd on it .
then farm it until there was no money left
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

                              You think?!There'll always be a currency~whether it's cash,camels,oil or salt!!(or our lottie goodies!)
(found out today that the word salary comes from salt!~apparently it used to be considered a precious commodity & used as part of peoples salaries!)
