I remember my daughter's first day at nursery, in the car after I'd dropped he off, the radio was playing 'Moon River'. I was so sad as it was the first time we'd been apart.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
    waiting 'round the bend,
    my huckleberry friend,
    Moon River and me.
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

            What are you lot like?!

I can't say I've ever given it a second thought as our two have moved up the schooling system - other than to mourn that time passes so quickly.

But I get a terrific buzz out of turning up for their matches, plays, concerts, and all that jazz (Sorry!) and my wife and I are lucky enough to be able to work flexible hours so that we rarely miss anything.
