I'm kind of leaning towards a telsa roadstar, fastest production electric car, 0-60 in 3.9 secs (which puts it in dodge viper company), obviously to go with a wind turbine in the garden.

That and a sticker saying my other car is a trabant!.

I'm surprised no ones picked a barabus TKR or a bugatti veyron?!

If sense has nothing to do with it I'd pick kit from night rider, that way I can kip on the way to work!!

In my previous life before moving up here, I got to drive all sorts of cars - everything from a 1928 Cadillac (with wooden spokes on the wheels) to a brand new Testarossa (which was actually pretty cr*p) and I have to say that my vehicle of choice would still be a Landrover Defender. Just love 'em to bits - failing that a Jock (John Deere tractor) would fit the bill too.

I've driven allsorts, tractors, double de-clutch cars, Jensens, 4X4's, buses, old Ford Popular, Hillman Sports car wiv a solenoid clutch, gears, no gears - I would prefer never to drive again. I have a bus pass that is a joke. If GB wants to get cars off the road, he has to provide an integrated transport system.

Defender would be my choice as a workhorse,just can't beat em.

As for me, I am hoping that whenever I do change my car (I have a lovely little fiesta that I am in no hurry to change at all - does exactly what I need it to and has reasonable boot space too), that I can get a nice sporty Mini too. Haven't thought too much about specs yet, as it's at least 2 years away unless I go to Brussels (in which case, I'll probably be getting it in 3 years as my "coming home" car!!).

I also hanker after the BMW 5 series (not the very big ones, the more sleek saloons) and Merc SLK. Or maybe a Peugeot 206 (I think it's this number anyway) convertible!!

Part of the reason I've always hankered after a Volvo S60R, a decent wolf in sheeps clothing. 300bhp and 4 wheel drive in a Volvo. Many a surprised face.

moi ? i have a confession ...... top gear is my favouritist programme on telly, i just wish they'd take the car bits out .... cars don't impress me at all, i'd rather have something practical, than some leather upholstered beast, that you are too scared of shoving a bag of compost in the back of, in case it gets a bit dirty, and knocks 27p off it's value

My OH works on Transits for a living (self-employed, no-one even forces him!). A lot of swearing comes from the rampshed, but he has an unhealthy adoration of the pre-1999 models! Tomorrow I shall be towing a very old E27N with one!
