As for email attachments on Notes!!!!!!

        The process:

        Open email
        See attachment
Make mistake of opening attachment (let's say pdf for this instance)
Go and make cup-o-tea whilst page opens.
        Mistakenly try and scroll down/zoom
        Drink cup-o-tea whilst waiting
Decide you want to print it off to make it easier to view
Forget yourself and click the print icon
        Go and have a meeting
        Come back
        Go and have lunch
        Come back
Take document off the printer (printer sits 12 inches away from my laptop)

If I want to send a document to someone:

        Identify document to send
Place document into folder called "x" on laptop
Open web browser and enter intranet screen
Click other application folder called "x's"
        Click next icon to upload/download
        Wait
Go and buy some biscuits for your cup-o-tea
        Come back
        Create email
Click attachment icon (but be careful here because it will place the attachment wherever your cursor is within the body of the email - rather than the sensible thing as per Outlook where the attachment is placed at the bottom of the email).
Select document to attach and, well, attach it.
        Click send
Click "Ignore" several thousand times becasue the system is set up with German language settings so almost nothing is spelt "correctly"
Watch email slowly leave your machine
Sit back and wish you could still use Outlook.

Can I just say make a small correction? It's Melinda (not Melissa) Gates. The foundation is a great idea in the true spirit of philanthropy. I'm happy to be a recipient of some of that money.

At least you didn't call her Gertrude.

Just reading all this stuff about differant operating systems and such like gives me a headache. If something goes amiss with my laptop I just shout for one of the lads. They always put things right and then spend ages trying to explain what they've done. I perhaps understand one word in ten and just sit there nodding my head, safe in the knowledge that while ever I can call on one of them it doesn't matter a jot that I haven't a clue what they're on about.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

But I bet they go on automatic when you talk about vegetables! Each to his own expertise I say.

Hi - Just to balance things up - I can't stand Bill and his pesky machines. Been a lifelong Atari & Mac user (they don't crash when you're performing live on stage and handle everything else in the office too). I've always found Microsoft stuff counter intuitive, slow, intrusive and buggy. And what's a virus ?

Oh, I agree that Macs are more stable and they are even more intuative, but you gotta admire Mr Gates' foresight.
