I love... Waitrose

yeep Me too, I'm a Waitrose fan! wish we had one near to us though.
When down south we use Lymington one, ALWAYS clean, smells fresh., and has nice fresh produce that lasts past its sell by!!! not like some other stores where as two days before the sell by date, the fresh food is really past it!

We've got a nice Waitrose about 15-20 minutes drive away, but we only go there as a treat. We also have a couple of Tescos, Sainsbury's and ASDA all fairly local and they vary in what produce they sell. For example one of the Sainsbury's I know stocks sun-dried tomato puree. One or two of the stores also have quite a range of Polish produce, some have a large selection of Asian food stuffs and we tend to vary where we go to suit (although ASDA doesn't feature very often).

Waitrose is king though as far as I'm concerned.

There is a big Waitrose on my home from work. Not good, when one is on a tight budget on account of house-refurbishments! I went to Asda last week and God it's crappp!! I also had to use a pound in the trolley thingy. Clearly the store is full of commoners!

When we lived in England we used to do our weekly shop on the internet with them. Makes the curtains twitch when you have a Waitrose delivery van pull up on your driveway.

I know they are a bit more expensive but I found that if you shop online you don't tend to spend as much (no bargains and offers to tempt you) and they did do Banrock Station sparkling Shiraz - a sort of red champagne mmm.

It's still a supermarket and I'd personally much prefer supporting my local shops whilst they still exist.
