Ironing ~ sorted!

I've been leaving the ironing to pile up for a couple of weeks now, I hate it. Mr Sheds has so many clothes we can't even hang them all up, so I figured he wouldn't miss a few shirts ... what I did was put all the ironing into a cardboard box in anticipation of moving house soon.

Two Sheds, I have an iron, it will last me a lifetime from the ammount of work it gets!
All that gets ironed in this house is work uniform if it needs it.
Anyone wanting their clothes ironed must make their own arrangemnts i.e. "there's the iron(somewhere) there.s the ironing board,go for it!"
Not that I use the ironing board much, I usually iron on the bed and if Jim is still in it he has to move over and keep VERY still!!

If Mr Sheds doesn't spot that they're missing, I'd be tempted to redirect the whole box to your nearest charity shop

Or cut 'em up for a quilt. Shirts make lovely quilts!
I hate ironing. Just had iron and board out to press the border fabrics for a little quilt I'm doing for Project Linus. Somehow, that's NOT ironing!

I moved house with a box labelled 'ironing' (it was VERY big)
The next time I moved, the iron didn't
You could always take them to the charity shop and hang around until they have ironed them and then buy them back

I hate ironing as well - the biggest sunday morning chore, but must say that having a drier does help with creases!!!!

All those school shirts that say "non-iron" are rubbish!

I did some ironing 2 weeks ago, when my OH had a 'not drink related [but after drinking] honest luv I fell over a low hanging metal chain link fence' accident and couldn't stand up for long. i hadn't done any in a year and don't intend on doing any more until at least 2009 or later.

my poor children cant get into their toy cupboard as theres a BIG heap of the stuff just inside the door!still as long as the door stays shut its not there!!

I confess I iron.
Honest, if you do it every week it doesn't take more than an hour.
If I had a pile bigger than that I'd be tempted to bin it.

I can only Iron one or two things at a time cos of my shoulder OH does his own and 12yr old daughter will do her own. I hate ironing but i also hate the pile that has been piling up.

I do not buy anything that needs to be ironed - thats saves the problem
