whoops!!!! you can check yourself, have a look on the web for some pics, my neighbour used to breed and show piggies and i got her to double check ours and they are all girls, thank the lord!!

mind you, baby piggies are cute and would be easy to sell, as we paid �25 each for ours (yes we got 3 of them!!!!) and i couldnt find any that were being sold privately!

perhaps they are like the rabbits and just get frisky!!

We had exactly the same problem and castration didn't solve it. We ended up with two arks (ground level hutches with runs) and the bunnies were allowed out onto the secure lawn separately for some serious exercise. When one died quite young, we homed a rescue rabbit, another male unfortunately. Again, they had to be kept separately and exercised separately. The rehomed rabbit also died and the last of the original pair died late last year. We really miss them, they definately mellowed with age and did wonders for the lawn. We have more dandilions and buttercups now and have even had to fire up the lawnmower on a more regular basis! Will we replace them? At this stage no.

hi, i don't know a great deal about rabbits but in response to re-homing; i took on my neighbours rabbit after the parents got sick of looking after their childs pet and being so close they thought was better so the child could still visit and help out etc. she's been once in 18 months to see the rabbit, she prefers my cats and will practically ignores the rabbit!! i don't think you're daughter will be scarred for life. i defo think that if you can't keep them seperate (which i imagine is such a pain) then the best thing is to rehome. i wouldn't worry too much about getting company for the rabbit either you just have to give him lots of fuss and attention on a daily basis and he'll be fine

Yes 2 boars can and will mount each other. But I would def check the genitals to make sure.

Hi, Finedon.Dandy, I'll try and get you the number of a friend of a friend who runs a rabbit sanctuary in south cambs as she might either be able to advise you, take in one of your boys (she's picky about who she rehomes too so they'll only go to a new home she's sure of) or either sort you out with a female or let you foster one to see if they get on (my friend has done this as they had 2 non-breeding pairs - boy's neutered, but when one of the girls passed away they chose to foster another girl to keep her aging boy bunny company with the option that she might be rehomed if they wanted to go down to 1 pair when he passed away, tho I think they kept her and got her a friend in the end as they were very attached by this point ) She'd rather her rabbits are happy and in good homes so if you had any problems with the new rabbit getting on with the original one I'm sure she would be happy to take her back..

in terms of pig versus buns, i find two differant sides, i have a freind who is pig mad but hates buns were as im the opposite, i do like the fact that pig sows have a leader and watching them follw the leader around the garden is fun to watch also some sing as well, pigs are a little calmer and easy to manage i find they are more prone to cancers, disease, etc and die young my friends had 60 over time (mainly rescued) she has had to stop now as she has buried too many, and as all animal lovers the heart break can only last so long, where as me i love the fact my dutch house bunny follows me round, jumps up for cuddles, plays throw (working in the fetching ) and does a jumping happy dance, my foster bunny at the moment is a misery but then its all to do with how they are raised and the time spent which helps any animals character to be honest, and thats my job hopefully so he can go to a happy loving home,

I have two house rabbits, a male and a female

We had 2 male gp's (Cousins,who were born to our female pigs within 2 days of each other)who did try to mount each other sometimes,when they were under a year old,but after that point,it didn't seem to bother them and they lived happily together until they died.So some male gp's can be kept together,especially if put together when very young,it would depend on the individual pig i suppose,we've had 11 in the past all very different from each other.
we've also had rabbits in the past,i've always found the females to be much feistier than the males(got a few scratches to prove it)
