I like them- they are a bit of fun. It gives me an idea of who is a "wise one". I certainly feel more respect for them than I would for a newbie with a very low count (ie under 20)

Now see I don't feel that the numbers command my respect of a person - several factors would allow me to respect a postee but the numbers on their profile isn't one of them

esp. if all their 6,000 posts consist of "I don't know, but someone wiser will come along in a minute"
Perhaps we need a quality mark, not a quantity one It's all a bit of fun, though, nobody really cares.
