What's the weather like in Devon?

I ask for a good reason. My OH works permanent nights, five nights a week Wednesday to Sunday. Last week he booked a week's holiday, but his boss wanted him to return to work on Monday night (tomorrow) which should be his normal day off. This happens every time he books leave as the person who covers his shift always then books the Monday and Tuesday. Now if he worked 9-5 Monday to Friday it would be like expecting him to return to work on the Saturday morning instead of on the Monday, which simply doesn't happen. This really doesn't seem fair, so just this once he's refused to do it, giving a holiday in Devon as his excuse (we've really been on the lottie) but as he's bound to be asked if he's had a good time could any Devonian grape let me know what last week's weather was like. Thanks.

I'm in the Newton Abbot area and at the moment it is dry and warm.(ish!)Clouds have been threatening all afternoon but come to nothing.No wind at all.(9.30 p.m.)
