  • National Botanical Garden Wales

I just thought I would give a plug here to the National Garden in Wales as it always seems to be struggling for money & visitors. We went there last week whilst on hols in West Wales & thought it was well worth a look if any of you are in the West/ South Wales area. It has a large glass dome similar to Eden , a walled garden with veg. section & plots for school allotments, a bee garden with hives you can view safely behind glass, cafe, shop, small plant nursery, 360 degree cinema -type thing, lakes, various different types of garden(wildlife, japanese, rock, traditional), an old-fashioned chemists complete with fittings & various drawers with herbs etc. in & lots of interactive things for kids(some through not very well marked doors around the inside edge of the dome). At £7-50 it is a lot cheaper than Eden & a lot easier to park at!
