did get aboslutly drenched just after lunch yesterday which made me a little less smug.. but then the sun came blazing though and the shed roof steamed and all was well with the world.. plus, the rain will have softened my rock hard earth a bit so tonight is a digging night..

The rain is off and on at the mo; but I have persuaded the OH to come home rather than go shopping [I loathe shopping] so that we can get a good afternoon in at the lottie [he will be back by 2:30] by promising him sausage, mash and yorkshire pud for tea.

I am blatant but what the heck.

I'm also hoping for softer ground from the rain to mix my sand/compost/newspaper mixture into the clayey soil before covering with cardboard.
