They are (MBT) Masai Barefoot Technology and Snowdrop has just taken me on a 3 mile hike around the camp laughing all the way - they make you walk very differently - but it wasn't unpleasant.

I shall now sit down to a glass of red wine after all that exercise

Ouch I'd have to have boots (coz o my dodgy ankles) & they're �150! If they're a miracle cure, I guess they're worth it, but I'm sticking with my arch support insoles for now!

My old stack sandals back in the 70's used to make me walk like that

I couldn't wait for the website to load - very slow... but the bit I read seemed to be talking about how barefoot Masai don't get backache? So why not just kick off your shoes?!

I've had a pair and sold them only worn them a couple of times, they were too heavy for me but lots of poeple do wear them at work.

Make sure you try them for size first as they come up really big.

A mate of mine has a pair and has found them very good for her foot problems. She used them for dog walking among other things and after nine months they are falling apart. However they have been so beneficial she is planning to buy another pair. (Luckily she can afford to !).

my experience with them yesterday was quite nice and whilst they are expensive if they improve back issues they will have been worth every penny

I have them, takes time to get used to walking on them, but do help with posture, as for the sciatica, sorry to say this, it has made no difference at all to me! As for low back pain, i think it has helped me, I've a bad back (I'm a bit of a freak with an extra vertebra! ), and pain has not flared up in months, so I guess they were worth it. Good luck!
