Thanks Lesley. It was actually lighter at midnight than the photo suggests. .

When our boys were very young we had to make wooden shutters for the windows and use blackout curtains. My colleague here at work says his boys football team played a game at 11.30 last night.

It is a lovely place to live, and we are so lucky (even though we do moan about the weather sometimes!).
