Spurious words in advertising

One of my all-time favourite lines from Not the Nine O'Clock News was

'Now with added Septaguesima!'

If there is such as thing as septagesima (and it may be spelled differently if there is) can anybody please explain it to me?

Peptides make up proteins. Presumably, there are 5 peptides in whatever it is!

True, individual peptides make up proteins and I too would assume that a penta peptide would contain 5 peptides. This is completely meaningless unless you know which peptides they are and in what order they are linked. I also fail to see how a 'penta-peptide' could possibly have any biological effect when in a wrinkle cream. The problem is the only real way to prevent premature wrinkles is to stay out of the sun and as this would; a, not sell much face cream and b, be highly unpopular, it is never mentioned. Few molecules can penetrate the epidermis, therefore anything you slap on your skin, be it a super-duper cream or be it lard, can do little more than temporarily hydrate cells which are already dead. Stay out of the sun and eat well, it's the only thing which works. Scientifically it is the only thing which can work.
