My Poundland didn't have the cloches but while I was there I accidentally spent �19 on 175 flower bulbs, three bags of Bill Oddie's bird food, a National Trust gardens book, four dibbers (one for each child!), a twine tin, some weed control fabric, a mini marigold starter kit and a hyacinth vase and bulb! Then I felt compelled to go to Wilko, to make sure the Oddie food was a bargain (it was) and some bird feeders and a spade said they wanted to come home with me too

I LOVE Wilko. What have I bought... hmm, greenhouse staging, two cloche tunnels, an obelisk, more seed trays than you can shake a stick at, fruit bushes, seed labels, thermometers, compost, vermiculite, rhubarb, artichokes, strawberries, seed potatoes, patio pots, twine, flower bulbs and of course a huge amount of seeds.

Probably more stuff too, it really is my fave shop

Wilko is a god sent alright so much so I don't need ever go to CG or even DIY stores for most of the time. Fortunately I have Poundland, Wilko and Woolsworth all under one shopping mall. Also have Lidl, Aldi and Instore but they're in different buildings and somewhat scattered around the town so not always handy.

I've bought blueberry, strawberry, bulbs, onion sets, seeds packet, seed potatoes, vermiculite, seed labels, plant ties, fleece, seed compost, ornamental pots, garden tool, garden tool hooks, hanging basket liner, fertilisers from Wilko however most fruit bushes I've bought from Woolies as the choices are better with named variety, also greenhouse staging.

From Poundland, I've bought seeds, bulbs, window boxes, pots, hanging basket liner, fertilisers, plastic ladybird for putting up on wall in the garden for my son to enjoy.

What I'd seriously like though from any of these stores is big pack of small seal plastic bag (around 2" big) for storing surplus seeds and swapping. Does anyone know where I can buy in minimum of 100 bags per pack without paying ridiculous online price...considering how much kitchen food seal bag cost and they're much bigger. Or should we contact Wilko to request them to store these?

Does anyone know where I can buy in minimum of 100 bags per pack without paying ridiculous online price...considering how much kitchen food seal bag cost and they're much bigger. Or should we contact Wilko to request them to store these?

A good bargain at Wilco is the soft tie (green) stuff - they want �4 or �5 at garden centres and only �1.29 at Wilco. Also Vermiculite is cheap

Thanks a very good idea using plastic bag sealer which will definitely be handy for swapping seeds but for personal use, a bit fiddly having to tear off the plastic each time you want to use your stored seeds. Surely the office stationery stores or even catalogues should sell that sort of things. I guess I could always make the bag bigger to begin with.
