I've been watching the Victoian kitchen garden on the idiots lantern recently. I know Harry passed on to the greenhouse in the sky in 2005. Does anyone know what happened to the garden and if it is open for visits ?

Good afternoon jc47, i don't know if the gardens are open to the public, or even if thy are still up and running. But i have to say, that series really was very special.
I was lucky enough to buy a book about perrenials that belonged to Harry Dodson, and in the front inside pages he wrote where and when he had his first five jobs as they came along. A book i shall treasure for a lifetime.
By the way, what is the idiots lantern.God bless all of us.

Not sure how useful this link is to the village web site, but I'm sure that there'll be someone who you can email to enquire.

Dr Who had an episode set in the ?40's starring Maureen Lipman in series 2with that name (I think) so that's why you get all the Dr Who links, HW.Originally posted by HeyWayne View PostA quick Blackle search revealed strong Dr. Who links - who'd of thought it!
I can't remember who first coined the phrase (Alan Coren? Barry Cryer? Dennis Norden? a humorist of that ilk, I think) - but it's particularly apt, I think!
