"Designer" stubble!!!????

By time boys are capable of growing the furry face they are capable of making there own decisions.
So they�re entitled to do what ever they like. In exactly the same way as ladies are entitled to avoid/not go anywhere near the fuzzy face ones if they don�t like it. Especially if the fuzzy face is your husband/life partners. .

Gentlemen, clean-shaven, or a beard please. This nondescript in-between style just makes you look unkempt and unwashed. You are not backwoodsmen who have to break the ice on the water barrel before you can shave of a morning.

When I was young, "designer stubble" was called five o'clock shadow. mostly it tended to indicate a man who was too lazy or too careless of his appearance to keep his face clean-shaven.

George Michael has a lot to answer for, I think.

I come at this question from a different direction, of course!!

What if your OH/partner/whatever expected you to maintain your appearance in the way that he/she wanted, not the way you wanted. You know the sort of thing - maybe when you first met your hair was immaculate, tidy clothes, makeup etc or are they relaxed enough to say "whatever keeps you happy, its still you and that's what matters to me".

Well, no - I've always loved men with stubble or short beards (not the long shaggy sort - obviously - that's a step too far! Sorry any ZZTop enthusiasts )
I think the thing is, beards/stubble still need trimming/grooming to look good, it's a styling choice rather than laziness for most men
But if your husband is just being lazy and not bothering to look after himself, rather than choosing to have a beard (and the necessary trimming that goes with it) then I agree he does need reminding not to let himself go.

Years ago when I had a moustache I shaved it off, my kids screamed at me to grow it back because I looked like their granny (my mother) . Needless to say I grew it back

I was puzzled to see I could buy an electric razor that had a setting so that it would leave sufficent stubble to look as if I hadn't shaved for 2 days.

First and only thought why buy a shaver to look as if you haven't shaved.

Only thing I will say is that it grows, at times you just have to accept that. Men tend to get up, maybe shave then it grows and we shave the next mornng, or the one after that.

Sometimes I think I/we are considered responsible for it growing. We aren't, it sort of happens.

I have been blamed for many things like that. Was once told I breathed wrong, and there was me thinking it was In-Out, In-Out, In-Out, repeat forever. Guess I was wrong.

Us ladies have the same problem with body hair, which a male dominated society decided we shouldn't have.
