I couldn’t believe there were fireworks going off tonight, nearly a week later . And it’s blowing a gale and raining hard; crazy people
All at once I hear your voice
    And time just slips away

      Poor dog, mcdood.
The community firework display was rained off last Saturday, so they had it yesterday instead, Mollycat hid under the bed. There weren't many fireworks in gardens on the actual night, I think that - other than the big displays - they seem to be going out of fashion.

How dogs react to loud noises depends on their training during a crucial period of development. I wish more breeders took that responsibility seriously.
Dogs that are safely and gradually exposed to many different experiences, including loud noises, during their essential socialisation period of 3 to 16 weeks of age, are able to cope more effectively with novel, frightening sounds like fireworks or loud engine noises

Thank you Thelma, I've just been reading the therapy guide and it sounds sensible. I'll see if I can track down the audio files and give that a try in January/February after the New years eejits have had their turn at mine's bigger than yours.
