My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Tesco has had loads in also Morrisons, that's where my mom has been getting hers. If you can only get a few my mom has been making marmalade with Seville oranges, clementines and lemons. She has been selling it at her country market place and is very popular if you want the recipe.

What's the World Health Organisation got to do with it?

Why do need special marmalade oranges as long as they are organic or not waxed surly thats fine, i make loads and loads of the stuff and i just use what is available on the trees, even clementine etc work great.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

It's the bitter Seville oranges that give marmalade that bitter-sweet taste. With regular oranges/clementines/tangerines/satsumas, you lose the bitter bite, so it tastes more like jam.
I confess I'm using l@kelands version of marmade this year, as I got some before Christmas, buy one get one free - how could I resist? And as an experiment I made some using some cheap (English) honey I bought. Tasted very good.
Whatever type of citrus you use its still marmalade (which is just citrus jam when you think about it) but personally I do like the Seville type the best. Make it about every 3 years as I don't use much and that's plenty. Our local delivery service are listing them out of stock this week.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Last Autumn I made this recipe and it is so gorgeous I have had to make another batch already this year. Really fruity and not too sweet. Sets quickly and easy to make.
