      They look and sound great. I love flapjacks so guess what I'll be making as I still have my sloes in the freezer.

          But I don't add ginger, I add a helping of cinnamon instead, and some crushed seeds

            This one is a bit different but very nice

            350g butter plus extra for greasing
            225g demerara sugar
            100g golden syrup
            100g smooth peanut butter
            450g oats
            3 tablespoon sunflower seeds
            3 tablespoon sesame seeds
            Procedure

            Pre heat oven gas 4/180c Butter 2 28cm x 18cm swiss roll trays and line with baking paper
            Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, then add sugar, syrup and peanut butter and stir until smooth over the heat.Add the oats and seeds mix well. Spread in the tins and bake for 20 mins. Leave to cool in tins for 15 mins.
            Mark the flapjacks into bars then turn thm out of the tins when cool.
            Store in an airtight tin
