        First homemade Chutney

Hi all, just made my first homemade chutney from my first load of beetroot lifted from my new allotment,3 jars. Question is does it taste sweet all the time or does it mature nicely over time.like a bot of a tang or tartness to my chutney?
Got more beetroot lifted y.day and am going to try pickling this lot, any good but easy ways to do it.

It's beetroot time so i thought I'd bump the thread, I've made a couple of jars this morning using Chioggia beets and my chutneys pale pink

That sounds ace! My beets are coming up so if I manage to grow enough then I'll have a go at this!
