Pickled Onions - Dry or Wet Brine?

    I did make the runner bean pickle/relish thing. I ventured to try the half jar overage after a month and it is very sweet for my taste. It's nice, just very sweet.

    Any suggestions to knock the sweetness back? Or, should I allow it more festering time?
    While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

      Let it fester much longer. All pickles and chutneys need to be matured. I don't think that onions are really ready for a year.
