Total ignoramus here but what's a "lens"?

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I thought lenses were what you had in your cameras or glasses. Seems a silly idea to me.

              jam for the plums

              and a few pies/crumbles

I might have a go at drying the elderflowers as I have way too many and I won't drink THAT much cordial/champagne - berries/wine!

Jams (strawberry and gooseberry (together) being made shortly) tomato and chilli chutney, chilli jam and usually, a freezer full of runner beans, although as said by others before me, this year could be more famine than feast..

This year I'll be surprised if I have much of a crop of anything - let alone a glut

My mange tout had turned into peas so I shelled them & put them in a freezer bag with some fresh chopped mint for freezing.

I have a load of tomatoes that are actually ripening so I shall be trying a tomato recipe I saw on here for freezing to use for pasta sauces.

Also, what the hell can I do with my courgettes? They are actually growing into marrows. I used a quarter of one tonight with chicken & mixed herbs, red onion, tomatoes & roasted the lot. It was delicious!

                    Can you freeze ratatouille?

This year it's a generalised term for when someone has more than two of something. e.g. "I had a glut of courgettes this year!" means you had three. I haven't had a glut of courgettes this year. I'm two thirds of the way there though!
