hi all,i have just bought cjj berry's book 130 new wine making recipes and am eager to try some recipes and i fancy making dandelion wine but the measurement it gives is 3 liters of flowers has any body got a weight measurement for it ? and also it says to make your wine the same day as picking the flowers would it be ok to pick them over a 2 day period (a weekend say) and make them on the second day? any advice is appreciated, thanks

I have made this once and mine said the same I made it on the day they were picked. You also have to make sure you remove all of the green from the flowers as they have a very bitter flavor. I will warn you though it takes absolutely ages to do that part.

I made that one. Sorry no weight to offer you, but it's easy enough to put the flower heads in a measuring jug, to get your 3 litres.

NB: it was not a good wine, I won't bother it again
