I did infuse the flower heads in very warm water (for every four litres of boiling water I added 1 litre of cold water).
Spoken to some botanists and they reckon they would give it a try.
I wonder how many people accidentally make this each year thinking it is elder and drink it obliviously?

Rowan Blossom is quite safe as is Honeysuckle blossom (all other parts are toxic), Rowan berries are also safe when cooked or fermented.
PS Builders buckets will not be food grade, when winemakers mention buckets they are refering to 5-6 gallon food grade fermenting buckets.

Eat well, live well, drink moderately and be happy (hic!)

Update: I have now consumed 10 litres of this Rowan flower champers and I am still alive.
It actually tastes quite nice and has a bit of a kick to it. Not keen on the smell of it though!

I think I will be making some more next year.
