I use it for cooking, much to the OH's disgust. It makes fantastic gravy is you just sit your chicken in about half a bottle and roast as usual. Yum Yum!

The elderflower buds are just beginning to show here. Just saying.

Used to make wine many years ago; might begin again if I find some demi-johns at the car boot.

Will look for a local home brew shop, but Chris, I'm a bit nervous of googling biggerjugs

Aah, yes, but as Mrs Beaton (or a modern equivalent) said "first find your 5lt water bottles".

Freecycle could be my friend here, me'thinks.

There's 20 in my greenhouse! (freecycle)
I did buy some, two for one at the time. People were staring at me as I emptied the water outside the supermarket ... (was biking them home, too heavy)

I got my basic kit (plus some of the chemicals) from ebay which included two plastic demijohns and then got three more from freecycle - my fave so far (not done that much!) was quick nice wine from here. 3lb rhubarb, 1 packet of sugar water, yeast and nitrient! was really nice too! do a search for it on here. I've just got some on the go today! My lottie friend's rhubarb was ready! (didnt like elderflower yik!)
