hi is happen to me last year on my tom plant when was almost 2 ft tall.. what someone told me was that been outdoor sometime too cold and too hot does that... as long the leaves look healthy ( i mean there are no spot or sign of aphid or any other pest)
i'm on my second year GYO so wait the other expert advice... i'm intersted on this as whell and i will follow this thread

No not floppy just curling. The plant to bottom right isn't looking too good actually as one of the bottom leaves has wilted and died (not the seed leaf). However, that could be due to inquisitive cat syndrome!

Planning to pot on and deeper this weekend. Maybe not these ones though. The seeds were planted on the 29th of Feb and they were from HSL.

PS. They have been raised in my conservatory and not placed outside at all. Door and windows open on hot days. Other toms (Aranyalma, also HSL, and Money maker) seem to be doing fine.

They look pretty healthy to me. May be just a characteristic of this particular tomato.

I'll carry on then and see what happens and if any other leaves wilt and drop I'll do some more research.

curling leaves in the summer indicates too much heat, or irregular watering.....not sure that applies to you...

Well I water from the bottom but only when it looks as if the top is getting a bit dry (and I mean a bit) and my other 35 tom seedlings seem fine. I check my seedlings all the time because they are my babies.

Do you think I should isolate them? Or is that just silly...think Dr Kildare music in the background!

Cold temperatures can cause leaf curling, nothing to worry about I would say, having looked at the photo.

Leaf roll in young plants is usually taken as a good sign. With the proviso that the plants look otherwise healthy and yours do. I would leave them, wait and see etc.

I've been googling this condition and it looks like the most likely cause is as has been said, temperature and water conditions. There is a yellow leaf curl virus that is spread by white fly but it's not that because there is no discolouration and no white fly yet.

Given that these are young seedlings I'm thinking this curling is going to affect development. Apparently when it occurs on mature plants it doesn't affect the crop that much. So I'll hang on to the couple that are least affected and see what happens...as an experiment like.

Those do look as if they could do with more light. Can you move them nearer the window?
