    Roll on 2013 ...

    so 2012 was a bit of a washout .... some crops ok, others poor, some non-existant ....
    and over the last couple of months, the pigeons scoffed all my cabbage, kale and broccoli .... i kept waiting for a dry day to get out there and net everything, but the dry day just didn't come ....

    never mind .....

    made quite a lot of homebrew this year, haven't bought wine for 8 months now ....

    just finishing up some decorating then i'm ready to crack on with the veggie patch again ... and no way am i letting the weather beat me next year ....

    Calabrese was the only brassica I got this year so I'm going to try harder with them next year. It was amazing growing and eating my own 'broccoli' as I call it. Was devestated when I cooked a few caterpillars along the way, hopefully lesson learned on that one.
    Remember it's just a bad day, not a bad life 😁

      I'm doing well with the silver beet and the turnips, the snow peas and the lettuce.

      Have got corn going well, potatoes went in late but doing well, red onions lookin' good.

      Tomatoes 5 on one bush so ready to take off now! Best get some water on them tho.

      Apples looking plentiful, altho the little one seems to have bitter pit.

      Some rain wouldn't go astray soon, round here.

      Hoping 2013 is better weather for all of you, so that you can keep me amused in my winter months with all that you are growing. Happy New Year everyone!

          i know i know ..... i've never lost them to pigeons before so didn't worry tooooooooo much .... lesson learnt tho!
