Linky no work for me, but as a Marmite lover, imagine my disappointment* when I ordered Marmite Dieppoise when I visited a Cafe Rouge last night...

Welcome to Café Rouge - Restaurant - Bar - Café

*it was actually really rather nice, even if it didn't contain any Marmite.

Just one of our former directors wanted to take a number of staff out who he'd particularly enjoyed working with. Caused a little friction within the ranks, but I say stuff 'em! lol.

Personally I don't like Marmite. However, I don't feel that anyone would have the right to tell my kids they couldn't have it on toast!! After all, how much of the stuff do you actually put on a slice? It isn't like chocolate spread that you slather on is it!

well apparently, according to the new advert, chocolate spread ( nutella anyway) is a very healthy breakfast food, of course my kids latched onto that one straight away, they have loads of it, as for marmite? well i dont care if it has got too much salt in, i was brought up on it and love the stuff, and I am not going to stop lashing it on toast now.

likewise with so-called 'cancer causing ' bacon, nothing gonna stop my occasional bacon butty treats ( with BROWN sauce you philistines )

I'm eating a small bit of Marmite as we very speak! I'm pathetic about it and even sneak it in my suitcase sometimes when we go away.

Has anyone tried the Champagne version? Saw it Tesco's the other day but didn't pick it up.

the champagne version was such a disappointment - I am a total lover of both marmite and champers but please keep em separate

I bought some for OH for Valentines Day (who says romance is dead?!), but it doesn't rate with me, too sweet somehow, much prefer the original. But it has to be spread really thinly for me, but it is so yummy on toast! And who's tried philadelphia cheese and marmite sarnies? Delish!
