  • How about an apple tree?

    One of my best friends as asked me to be godmother to her baby son & I want to buy him something special but different as a present- and after having a bit of a think I wondered about buying him a tree... something that will grow with him.

    What sort of tree should I go for - I thought about an apple tree, but am open to suggestions - his name is Roman & he was born in August.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    That is a lovely idea. I would suggest checking what sort of gardeners they are and how much space they would have available. Either that or a variety that can be container grown so that it can go with the lad if that is his wish.
    Happy Gardening,

      I agree, that's a fab idea
      There are hundreds of varieties of apple tree available, I'm sure you'll be able to find something suitable for their garden. You could buy them a root-control bag to plant it in - that way it's easier for watering etc, but the tree can also be moved if they move house.

      A couple of nurseries with a lot of apple varieties;
