Good luck to Rangers Rat. You mean you're actually here today? You & the other 100,000 Rangers fans? There are huge screens being put up in a few of the squares because so many fans are coming without a ticket. If you're going to the match please don't take away chunks of the stadium as souvenirs I'm a City fan!

I'm sorry to say that I will be supporting the Russians tonight. Zenit have made some top European sides look very poor in their campaign and I couldn't resist investing in a Zenit victory at 5/4.

Just seen local news and it looks like Manchester has become a suburb of Glasgow for a couple of days. It's a shame that the tournament has become so reduced in value due to the ridiculous routes of entry (particularly including the entry of the teams who fail in the first round of the Champions League!)

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Don't feel sorry, NoWayPedro, there are a lot of Glaswegians with you. Although to be fair, in terms of bigotry, both lots of supporters seem to be as bad as each other, what with the booing of black players on one side and singing songs about being up to your knees in fenian blood on the other.

So we got beat - and deservedly so - but I have to say that I am disappointed with some of the comments made below. Nuff said before I get all shouty about it.
Bollox - I want my say - Greenstar - why the f*** do you feel it necessary to drag up the bigotry thing when nobody else did - both Rangers and Celtic are trying to get rid of it but it ain't gonna happen til eejjits just get on with the football and stop banging on about it - gets right on my tits - I'm a Glaswegian protestant, married to a Belfast catholic, so I know where I stand on bigotry.

Sorry they lost Rat, they played well & your goalie was great in the first half, shame your boys didn't manage to convert the few good chances they had. By the way I believe Manchester city centre looks like a war zone this morning, I told you to behave!

Sewer rat - I bought up the bigotry because unfortunately it is still relevant - on both sides. I'm English and have lived in Glasgow for nearly 20 years. I couldn't believe the bitterness and hatred that existed here when I moved up, and the "Orange" and "Green" marches are just laughable. If it was just normal football rivalry I could take it, but people are being seriously injured and even murdered because of it.

And see, are you not just being a wee bit over sensitive when some one mentions the word "bigotry".

Just to add - the reason for my view on this - I've never been spat at (when walking along the street with my children) and called names which I won't mention here, suffice to say they thought I was a "working girl" of a certain religion, by any other supporters apart from Rangers supporters. My eight year old son happened to be wearing a green top - he also wears clothes of every other colour. I would love it all to be just about football, but unfortunately I can't see how that will ever happen when there are neanderthals like that on the street.
