  • Yum!

We have just had homemade pizza and salad for our tea - and the leaves were homegrown! Very pleased as they were delish if a little small. Was a pot of mixed spicy salad leaves I have been nurturing. I already have several pots coming up at various stages so we can hopefully have more soon.

OH was quite surprised that I had sown them from seed myself!

As Alam Titchmarsh says, 'they can't help but grow...'

My little ones are having pizza and homegrown salad tonight, they would be having radishes but they polished the whole lot off last weekend and I am now playing catch up. Growing is addictive and fab fun

Mmmmmm, sounds yummy. I take it you both grow your salad in a greenhouse or undercover??? I sowed my mixed leaves today outdoors. Hope they come through soon

I had some home grown rocket in my salad tonight. First crop of the year! It's late for me, but I've just moved house and thrilled to have anything organised. It's always a great feeling. Looking forward to doing better next year.

No Novice gardener, they were sown into a container by the back door on about a month ago. My little boy has been DYING to eat them ever since they first appeared through the compost!

I have a pot of those that I hope to take a few leaves from next week and some slald mix (also T&M - free pkt with a mag last april) - both from the garden. I had some lettuce "all year round" last thursday for my lunch (a thinning from the plot) and I hope to have more this week.

And we had our first PSb on Thursday and spring cabbage yesterday - oh delish!! I'd never grown PSB before and was starting to wonder if there would be anything to eat off it. But expect to be over run with both for the next month!!
