Birde there are a few parts to this program! I watched it last night it was good! i set the series link on sky to record so wont miss the rest think it is either 4 or 6 part series. I love the old programs, all the period dramas!

Make sure you watch Victorian Farm it was a breath of fresh air, something different to watch!

Caught the repeat on Saturday evening. Really enjoyed it and will try to make sure we remember to watch the rest of the series. No fancy record a whole series sky here just an old steam powered TV and an ancient video recorder.
It is the doom of man, that they forget.

I actually saw this (for someone who never watches T.V. seeing anything is a bit of a miracle). I love this stuff, it has the weird effect of making me nostalgic for a time I can't remember though.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

Great viewing. The three of us were captivated for the whole hour it ran. It was truly a breath of fresh tv air, making one realise what a good medium it can be.

I live in a 120 year old pit cottage and one day I found horse hair (as shown on the prog' as part of old plaster) poking it's way out of the wall cum plaster. In my modern ignorance I actually thought it was potentially a dead body and considered calling the police!

I caught it on Saturday as I was alone, but don't fancy my chances next weekend. When is it on during the week? (And I have to catch it live as not being on "de mainland", I can't watch it on iPlayer -grrr).

I would loved to have lived in this era...........i also would have liked to have lived when Digging for Victory was around, the wealth of knowledge.

It was a fab programme and i know Sky + will record it all.
Dont worry about tomorrow, live for today

My sister lives about a mile from where thie is filmed

Other half saw it on Sunday and promply got hammer & chisel out & started to knock our kitchen wall down, convinced that there should be a range there, after a ton of rubble & dog throwing up I told him to quit untill next weekend, lets hope he goes off the idea
