Default Metal arches for growing fruit on

Hi folks

I want to put up metal hoops for apples etc to grow against as cordons. I don't want any fancy twiddly bits - just good, thick, strong tubes or rods, bent into arches with maybe up to 2 ft plunged into the ground and about 7 or 8ft to walk under. I'll put three of them in to make a little walkway through as you enter the garden - perhaps with a crosspiece to hold them in place.

Has anyone any ideas of a place I can get such things, someone who could make them or a way I could make them myself?

Thanks in anticipation ...

Hi there, I would suggest finding a local farrier or iron munger and ask if they could help. I have bought sturdy metal poles but they arte not sold in long enough pieces for you purposes (I don't think) Unless you contact one of the polytunnel companies they may help.
