hi everyone as anyone got any idea how to get rid of woodlice in house their horrible ugly things thanks

I read an article recently about woodlice - it seems they do good work in the garden, digesting decaying material and excreting the goods - something like earthworms, was how I understood it. Some other people on the forum might be able to explain it better.
Sorry I can't help you about getting rid of them in the house - maybe something strong like peppermint oil - luckily we only find the odd one in the house and when I do, I put it out the window to hopefully do its work in the garden.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)

Woodlice eat....wood, specifically wood that is softened by damp and the beginnings of decay (they will eat dead plants of other kinds too, including leaf-mould).
If there is nothing for them to eat, they won't stay long.
Find out what is attracting them, and sort it, problem solved.
If it is a garden thing that brings them to you (compost heap, mulch around plants, etc), move it away from the house.Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.Comment

As others say - sort out the reason why they are there first, that is more important. however, if you really do want to kill them use an ant killer (powder or spray).Comment

Woodlice in the garden are a hygiene problem. Clear up the rotting stuff lying about and there willl be nothing for them to feed on and nowhere for them to hide.
The odd one can always make its way indoors - come in on the cleats of your boots or the fire logs. They're not a problem. Just scoop them up and put them out.
However if you have an infestation indoors it would suggest damp, rotting wood. Check around.

You know, the dead leaves lying around in the greenhouse, the plant pots, in odd corners, under plants, all the places that haven't been cleared up.
Woodlice just love to live in such places.
Yes , you'll still get them in the log store and such places, but if you clean where you don't want them (around your plants) there will be no problem.
